DAS Akademie is hosting a contest where kids and teenagers get the chance to travel to Berlin for a life-changing experience. The winner of the contest will receive a free spot in our summer camp in Germany. Not only that, there is also a very convincing prize for the second and third place finishers! The second place will get a 20% discount when enrolling at Summer Camp 2020 while the third place will save €150.
This international video contest aims to reach young people abroad, understand why they learn the German language and share their message with other young learners. Teachers can help their pupils to participate by announcing the contest and its rules in their schools.
How to participate?
First, each participant will need to complete the registration form. After completion, each student is asked to record a 45 second long video answering the following question:
Why do you want to learn German in our international summer camp?
The message of the video should be in the German language. Here, you can use mimics, gestures, texts or graphics. You can capture people, puppets, sketches or everyday items. Animated videos are also welcome.
The contest will go on until April 15, 2020. Participants of DAS Video. Contest participants should be between 10 and 17 years old and need to be enrolled at a school at the time of the application.
Summer camp contest winners
After sending in the videos, we will publish the videos on our YouTube Channel. Then, we will invite the best three rated videos for an interview where we will decide who gets the main prize.
The contest will only take place if more than 50 students participate. The visa and arrival costs are not included. Prizes cannot be paid out in cash.
