German Courses in Berlin at DAS Akademie

There are many language schools in Berlin, why should you decide to learn German in one of our German courses in Berlin?

German learners from all corners of the world come to Berlin to learn and to live German. They are all different just like our German courses in Berlin are – we are maybe the most flexible german language school in Berlin. We build our German courses around the students and we do not put you into the German class when your oral level is too high or too low. Our written and oral language assessment ensures that you end up in the right course. If we don’t have a German course you need, we would open a new one just for you.

Student satisfaction

90% of our students come to our German courses in Berlin through recommendation. Because friends, who studied with us and who now can speak German, recommended our school to them.

You can start today

If you already speak some German, you can join one of our German courses in Berlin  at any day of the week.

Courses for students, not students for courses

Our comprehensive language assessment ensures that you end up in the right course. If we don’t have what you need, we won’t offer it.

Innovative methods

Our German school in Berlin is constantly looking for new and innovative teaching materials. Furthermore, our teachers work with the most recent books on the market as well as DAS Akademie books, games, music and multimedia materials.

Quality control

New teachers are employed only after a trial lesson. Furthermore, our Head of Languages monitors the quality of their teaching regularly.

Flexibility and concern for students’ individual needs

Our primary concern is to make you speak. Because human beings are not machines. We acknowledge your individual needs and strive to find the best solution for you. This might include any of the following solutions:

  • changing your course
  • offering private tuition to „fix gaps“
  • providing inside information on German life, bureaucracy or the education system
  • listening to what’s going on in your life outside of class
  • or by always being here to help.
Location

Berlin is the capital for students, politicians, artists, academics and entrepreneurs from all over the world. Our students enjoy the multicultural atmosphere of our city and our language school. The trendy quarters of Alexanderplatz, Hackescher Markt and Prenzlauer Berg are just a stone’s throw away from DAS Akademie.

Teaching Method

Our credo is “talk talk talk.”Our experience has shown that students learn most effectively by speaking as much as possible. Moreover, you will do the majority of the talking, not your teacher.

Although our teaching methods emphasize verbal communication and the development of your speaking skills, we have a holistic approach. So, we simultaneously develop your listening, reading and writing skills. Not only you absorb grammatical structures organically, but also you expand your vocabulary by immediately applying these structures. We combine dialogues, role-plays, games, group activities and multimedia to provide you with interactive lessons and an intensive learning environment. As a result, your vocabulary and confidence will grow quickly, and you will soon feel like a native German speaker.

Through an oral and written placement test we find the right German course for you. Regular assessment helps you monitor your progress. Most importantly, our certified German courses in Berlin are taught in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference. This means your German skills will be uniformly defined and recognised all over Europe. With highly skilled and motivated teachers, we will make you speak.

Because we care.

If you already speak some German, you can join one of our existing German courses in Berlin at any time. Please contact our friendly staff to organise a time for your assessment test. Our team will gladly provide more information on existing courses.
