Do I need basic German knowledge for my visa application?
Equally, if you’re looking to move to Berlin in order to learn German and need help obtaining a visa, we also offer visa support. You’ll need to prove to the authorities that you’re here to learn a language. As such, you may have to prove your dedication to this by submitting an A1 German language certificate. Many of our students attend an online German course with us to learn German on level A1 prior to coming to Germany. You will also require an official confirmation of registration from a language school, which, alongside assistance throughout the application process, we will be happy to give you!
Regarding the German Visa Courses, the general rule is that non-EU citizens can automatically get their registration form, whereas EU citizens might only be able to join if there are still places available.
Who are we?
DAS Akademie is a language school based in the middle of Berlin – a capital bursting with multiculturalism and diversity. We have been running German, English, Spanish and Turkish courses for over 22 years. During this time, have seen a huge amount of students go on to live and work in the language they learned with us. Therefore, we are a great choice for your A1 German course in Berlin, Germany.
As soon as you walk through the doors of DAS Akademie, you will notice a few things that make us stand out from the rest. Firstly, we operate with a no desk, no stress approach. This is so that you are encouraged to speak rather than concentrate on note-taking and reading (although this is important too). This means that the transition from beginner’s German in a classroom to fluent German in public will be easy. With us, you will be building confidence from day one.
Secondly, our small class sizes mean that your teachers can spend as much time focusing on your individual needs as you want and need. This could be grammar, reading, listening, writing or pronunciation. We’ve got you covered on all fronts.
How much does it cost?
If you’d like to learn German at a faster pace in an intensive course, the cost of one sub-level is 480€. Each level consists of two sub-levels, so if you want to book the entire A1 German course, the cost would be 890€. In effect, the more you book, the less you pay.
If you have a busy daytime schedule and can only manage to join one of our evening courses, it takes 10 weeks to complete one sub-level, which costs 448€. Alternatively, you could sign up for the whole A1 course (two sub-levels), which would cost 880€ and last 20 weeks.
